Position: City Transportation Engineering Role
Contribute to urban mobility as a Transportation Technician in Victoria's Engineering & Public Works department. This full-time position emphasizes compliance, community engagement, and sustainable transport solutions.

In this role, you will spearhead transportation planning and coordinate projects aimed at improving street design. You'll review and ensure permit applications adhere to city regulations, providing vital input on traffic performance and safety improvements. Collaboration with internal teams and community stakeholders will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage community engagement initiatives for transportation

• Assess development applications for compliance

• Investigate traffic patterns and recommend signal changes

• Offer guidance and technical information to various stakeholders

• Inspect sites and oversee project progress

Requirements:

• Technical School Diploma in Transportation Technology

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

• Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence required

• Proficient with transportation engineering software

• Strong organizational and reporting skills
