Step into a pivotal role as Daily Shift Operations Manager at BC Transit in Victoria, BC. Manage maintenance functions while ensuring our buses are safe and operational for public transportation.
This position involves supervising maintenance operations within the Victoria Regional Transit System, overseeing a large workforce to execute extensive repair commitments. As the team lead, you will navigate shift schedules, ensuring the efficiency of daily operations and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operational maintenance of transit fleet
• Lead and supervise unionized maintenance teams
• Guarantee bus readiness for daily service
• Make key decisions on repairs and maintenance

Requirements:
• Proven leadership experience in a maintenance environment
• Certified Tradesman or equivalent Maintenance Technician certification
• Excellent conflict management and communication skills
• Background in Heavy Duty or Commercial Transportation preferred
• Willingness to work various shifts including nights and weekends
