The Allied Health Department is recruiting for a non-tenure track ADN Clinical Instructor. This position is a 30-hour per week role responsible for teaching two clinical rotations, with evenings and weekends as needed. The instructor will also hold student office hours and perform duties such as online course development or management, lab assistance, or other related tasks.
Pay for the nine-month position is $38.00 per hour, with an additional annual market scarcity payment of up to $5,000.00.

Responsibilities- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in a related field, with six graduate hours in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university, teaching experience in an associate degree nursing program, and online course development experience.
- Current unencumbered Texas Registered Professional Nursing license.
- A minimum of three years of nursing clinical experience, preferably in adult medical-surgical nursing and pediatric and/or maternity nursing.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn advanced computer skills.
- Experience or willingness to learn online course development.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to meet deadlines, interpret policies, and perform basic business tasks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with diverse groups.
- Use of hands and fingers to handle controls and keyboards.
- Sitting, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods, including up to 12-hour shifts.
- Occasional lifting and moving up to 15-20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities, including close and color vision, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels in the work environment.
