Provides quality, therapeutic massage therapy and wellness services to Health Plex members and the general public in a professional manner.
Job Specific- Conduct interactions with clients and offer massage in a professional manner as per State law and generally accepted practices within the Massage Therapy industry. (EF)
- Continue to update skills and talents through continuing education courses and similar.
- Implement new skills and talents as additional service lines.
- Prepare for all massage sessions and be ready to greet the client as they arrive. (EF)
- Ensure appropriate documentation on all forms. (EF)
- Communicate effectively with all clients regarding medical history, preferences, and any special concerns or requests. (EF)
- Ensure the massage rooms are clean, prepped and ready for each client. (EF)
- Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned. (EF)
- Communicate effectively with manager regarding schedule, clients with special needs or concerns, and similar. (EF)
- Communicate with Member Services staff regarding client scheduling, messages and point of sale or packages. (EF)
- Gain a basic understanding of processing client payment and appointment scheduling through member software. (EF)
- Maintain monthly service type reports. (EF)
- Promote services to the membership and community as appropriate and offer complimentary chair massage when not booked.
- Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
- Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
- Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
- Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.

- Graduate of an accredited School of Massage Therapy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-6 months internship or hands-on training program within an accredited program.
- Excellent people skills, ability to listen to others.
- Current LMT license from the the Texas Department of Health.
- BLS training certificate upon hire OR within 90 days of hire.
- 1+ years' experience as a professional massage therapist
