• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurse; preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
• Minimum one year of acute or critical care nursing experience; prior leadership experience (House Supervisor, Charge Nurse) highly preferred.
• Experience in emergency or critical care environments and comfort managing ventilators, trach and PICC lines is preferred.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Duties include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching, accessing community resources, and carrying out other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
