Waste Services
: VLS Waste Services provides customized waste processing solutions for hazardous and non‑hazardous industrial and commercial waste, including landfill diversion and sustainability programs, solidification of liquid waste, recycling, wastewater treatment, and waste sequestration.

Railcar Services
: VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult‑to‑clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full‑service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance.

Marine Services
: VLS Marine Services division offers state‑of‑the‑art barge cleaning, repair, and gas‑free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products.

Under direct supervision, assists in the repairs of rail cars per a written work order, by replacing, welding, and straightening various parts and areas on rail cars. Other duties, such as track repair or cleanup, may be required at times.

• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform welding in horizontal and flat positions.
• Use a cutting torch safely and efficiently.
• Have a basic understanding of railcar parts for both hoppers and tanks.
• Read and understand work orders to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the work area clean and free of trash, scrap, and debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Recent graduates of welding program with certification.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
• Basic knowledge and general use of hand and power tools required.
• Mechanical, welding, or valve knowledge/experience a plus.

• Must be able to stoop for extended periods and routinely move from kneeling to standing positions.
• Ability to work M-F 6:30 am – 3:00 pm with as‑needed overtime.
• Must be able to perform overhead work for extended periods.
• Lifting (vertically) 50 lbs. vertical lift from 0 inches to 36 inches from the floor x 5.
• Pushing/Pulling – 50 lbs. for a distance of 10 ft x 5 ft.
• Confined Access – Access space with a height of 24 inches x 1.
• Repetitive Posture – Forward bend to reach a point six inches from the floor x 5.
• Crawl – Forward ten feet x 1.
• Climbing – Vertical ladder 4 ft x 4 ft.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperature environments.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background check, physical, and drug screening.
