Pay TransparencyDesert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $46.50 to $66.04 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection based on factors such as skill set, experience, education, and licensure.

Shift: Nights
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include direct patient care within scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching, and coordinating with other nursing personnel. In the Emergency Department, the RN communicates with the physician regarding changes in patient clinical condition, reports diagnostic results, and responds quickly to clinical changes.
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker is essential. The RN must maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintenance.
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintenance.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute‑care hospital; ER experience preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire.
- EDAP‑certified facilities:
Emergency pediatric courses 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire. - Non‑OB facilities: NRP certificate within 90 days of hire.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire.
