Operations Director

The Variable Operations Director oversees the dealership's Sales, Used Vehicle, BDC/Internet, and F&I operations. This position is responsible for driving sales performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, compliance, and management accountability across the dealership group.

• Oversee daily Sales, BDC, Used Vehicle, and F&I operations.

• Establish and monitor sales, gross profit, volume, and performance goals.

• Coach and develop Sales Managers, F&I Managers, and sales teams.

• Monitor inventory levels, aging, pricing, and used vehicle turn.

• Review sales, F&I, CSI, and other key performance metrics.

• Ensure consistent sales processes and accountability across departments.

• Monitor BDC lead response, appointments, and conversion performance.

• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, lender requirements, and applicable laws.

• Assist with recruiting, training, and development of management personnel.

• Address performance concerns and implement corrective action plans.

• Work with General Managers and executive leadership to improve dealership profitability.

• Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to executive management.

• Previous automotive dealership management experience required.

• Strong knowledge of Sales and F&I operations.

• Proven leadership and team-development skills.

• Strong understanding of dealership profitability and performance metrics.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Multi-rooftop dealership experience preferred.
