Duties
- This is a Non-Boom truck.
- Deliveries to customers will be unloaded by a sister boom truck.
- Interaction with dispatcher for delivery schedule.
- Interaction with boom truck driver to coordinate exact times for delivery.
- Deliver utility poles to customers in the South East and North East United States.
- Lots of local deliveries within 200 miles of Vidalia, GA, as well as some deliveries up the East Coast as far as Massachusetts.
- Interaction with customers and contractors.
- Abide by electronic logging device.
- During emergencies/storms, on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week including holidays.
- Valid CDL license
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CDL truck driver
- Boom/heavy equipment experience preferred, but will train
- Experience with electronic equipment and software
- Ability to perform minor truck maintenance
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Ability to travel out of state for extended periods
