Responsibilities- Read, comprehend, and interpret plan drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs, testing specifications, standards, details, piping BOMs and process equipment submittals.
- Use project‑assigned software tools (Navisworks, CADWorxs, Bluebeam Revu, etc.) to produce coordinated installation and system pre‑testing packages.
- Identify potential pipe routing or civil‑to‑mechanical conflicts and work proactively to resolve or prevent them.
- Assist in producing supplemental informational tools including spool tracking maps/reports, field red‑line as‑built drawings, document control, and RFI processes.
- Help with spool and BOM item field inventory or shortage issues.
- Maintain strong literacy with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and project document control.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the extended project team, engaging proactively in problem solving and productivity innovations.
- Own assigned work tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Actively participate in a strong safety culture.
- Recognize safety hazards and risks.
- Participate in onsite safety meetings.
- Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures.
- Be aware of changing conditions on an active job site.
- Arrive on time ready for work.
- Display a positive attitude and collaborate in a team environment.
- Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, humidity, and high elevations.
- Lift and carry awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods (up to 11 hours/day) with breaks every 2.5 hours.
- Perform frequent movements (walking, climbing, lifting, balancing, bending, twisting, reaching).
- Maintain good hand‑eye coordination.
- Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects or tools.
- 2‑3 years of experience as a Field Piping Detailer.
- Ability to read all required programs for a Field Piping Detailer.
- 5+ years working in industrial construction.
- Previous experience in a new construction environment.
