The jobsite is located in Vidor, Texas and has an opening for a Field Piping Detailer
.
- Read, comprehend, and interpret Plan Drawings, Isometric Drawings, P&'s, Testing Specifications, Standards, Details, Piping Material BOM's and Process Equipment submittals.
- Use project software tools (including Navisworks, CADWorxs, Bluebeam Revu) to produce and generate coordinated scope of work installation and system pre-testing sell-off packages.
- Identify potential piping routing and/or civil to mechanical conflicts and work proactively to resolve or prevent them.
- Assist in producing supplemental informational tools including spool tracking maps/reports, Field Red Line Drawings As-Builts, Drawing Document Control and the RFI process and project File Management.
- Assist with spool and/or BOM item field inventory/shortage issues.
- Demonstrate strong literacy with Microsoft Office (including Excel), Outlook, Project Document Control and Filing.
- Integrate and maintain a positive relationship with the extended project team, proactively solving problems and fostering productivity innovations.
- Commit to and own assigned work tasks and project deadlines.
- Actively participate in a strong safety culture
- Recognize safety hazards and risks
- Participate in onsite safety meetings
- Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
- Be on time to the jobsite each day, ready for work
- Display a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment
- Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
- Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day; breaks are given in 2.5 hour intervals
- Moving the entire body with considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending
- Must have good hand-eye coordination
- Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools
- 2-3 years of experience as a Field Piping Detailer
- The ability to read all programs needed for Field Piping Detailer
- 5+ years of experience working in industrial construction
- Previous experience working in a new construction environment
