Overall Job Summary
The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the execution of operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader is also responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, as well as training Team Members on the appropriate application of policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate. - Perform duties such as executing merchandising activities, opening/closing, banking, assessing store conditions, organizing workflow, merchandise recovery, price changes, resolving customer issues, adhering to loss prevention, communicating with team, operating cash registers, and ensuring safety and care of poultry.
- Complete all documentation related to job duties and obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
Required Qualifications
Retail or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding experience preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution.
- Ability to perform all responsibilities of Team Members.
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor work with moderate noise, varying shifts, and adverse weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move merchandise, lift weights, stand, kneel, reach, and operate equipment.
