What You Will Do- Strong knowledge of torque tools, procedures, and best practices
- Lead multiple foremen and crews
- Assign job tasks to each foreman and ensure training
- Act as a safety role model for the team
- Enforce OPD and client safety policies and procedures on the jobsite
- Anticipate and recognize potential safety and environmental concerns and report them to the OPD Superintendent
- Provide records of work completed to the OPD superintendent
- Communicate with OPD Superintendent for material requirements and scheduling NDE for pipe and vessel welding
- Verify all material is onsite
- Coordinate with other area GF's on planning
- Write and submit RFIs requested by area foremen
- Actively participate in a strong safety culture
- Recognize safety hazards and risks
- Participate in onsite safety meetings
- Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
- Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work
- Display a positive attitude and work well in a team environment
- Capability to work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations
- Lifting and carrying objects up to 60 lbs
- Standing for extended periods up to 11 hours per day; breaks at 2.5‑hour intervals
- Regular use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending
- Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools
- At least 2 years of experience as a general foreman
- At least 4 years of experience as a torque technician
- Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
- Previous experience leading teams of 40‑50 people
Job Requirements
- Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas
- Willing and able to attend and/or lead employee safety meetings
- Work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
- Meet all physical demands of the job
- Five or more years of experience as a general foreman
- Eight or more years of experience as a torque technician
The compensation range is an estimate based on market data; the actual amount may be higher or lower.
