Description:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Portfolio & Value Manager with strong Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) expertise to drive value delivery across a strategic enterprise portfolio undergoing agile transformation. This role is ideal for a collaborative, strategic thinker who can champion agile principles, optimize value streams, and partner with senior leaders to align portfolio investments with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate excels in enterprise agility, lean governance, portfolio operations, and value-based decision making. You will oversee the portfolio Kanban, establish effective intake and prioritization frameworks, guide Lean Budgeting practices, and ensure the timely delivery of high-impact initiatives. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence outcomes in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the launch and continuous evolution of value streams within the enterprise portfolio.
- Establish and maintain frameworks for intake, prioritization, decisioning, and workflow optimization to maximize value flow.
- Oversee the portfolio Kanban to drive stop/pivot/persevere decisions that ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Monitor Lean Budgeting guardrails and support funding decisions that optimize value delivery.
- Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps to communicate planned work and strategic direction.
- Deliver portfolio reporting, including metrics, OKRs, and value measures, to support executive insight and decision-making.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to align projects, initiatives, and investments with organizational strategy.
- Collaborate with Agile Coaches to assess and enhance Lean Portfolio Management maturity across the enterprise.
- Adjust the portfolio as needed in response to shifting strategic priorities, resource needs, or changing scope.
- Serve as the primary liaison to strategic goal and initiative owners, ensuring consistent communication and issue resolution.
- Build strong relationships across business lines, project teams, leadership, and external partners to support successful outcomes.
Required Skills/
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in an enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Scaled Agile (SAFe) Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) — mandatory.
- Expertise in project and program management best practices, including change management, risk management, and executive-level reporting.
- Strong ability to track portfolio progress, identify gaps, recommend controls, and communicate insights to leadership.
- Demonstrated success managing competing priorities and driving outcomes autonomously or collaboratively.
- Experience working with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executives and external partners.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience delivering presentations to both virtual and in-person audiences.
