Risk Analyst - Contract Position
Location Options: GPO (Pensacola, FL) or HQ (Vienna, VA)
Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm (Flexible)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite weekly, following NFCU Hybrid Guidelines)
Contract Duration: 6 months from start date
Join our dynamic risk management team as a Risk Analyst where you'll play a crucial role in protecting our organization through expert risk assessment and mitigation strategies. In this position, you'll evaluate financial and operational risks while providing valuable insights to leadership that drive informed decision-making.
As a developing professional in our risk management function, you'll have the opportunity to grow your expertise while working on meaningful projects that directly impact our business resilience and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and develop specialized risk assessment frameworks tailored to business needs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with management and team members to optimize risk assessment methodologies
- Identify and analyze potential business risks, operational inefficiencies, and regulatory compliance gaps
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize complex data to present actionable conclusions and risk mitigation recommendations
- Lead specialized risk assessments and testing cycles to ensure operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance
- Foundational understanding of business operations and risk environments
- Knowledge of risk-based auditing techniques and methodologies
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations, corporate policies, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated project management capabilities
- Understanding of operational and regulatory risk control concepts
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Auditing, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Master's Degree in related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience)
