Northeast Transit Planning Practice Lead - (186489)

Primary Responsibilities
HDR is seeking Regional Transit Planning Practice Leaders to enhance our Transportation Planning Business Class and Transit Market Sector. We are recognized globally for delivering tailored transit solutions, from modal service planning to major capital investment analysis and stakeholder engagement. The Practice Leader will:
- Collaborate with HDR’s Transit Planning Practice Leader to develop and implement practice group strategies.
- Identify regional market needs and develop products to meet client demands.
- Present regional transit planning activities and needs regularly.
- Contribute to the technical development of transit planning staff across various transit modes.
- Identify market opportunities and develop pursuit strategies.
- Attract and retain transit planning talent.
- Lead workshare communications to ensure technical excellence.
- Manage major transit projects, leveraging HDR’s global expertise.
- Represent HDR at professional organizations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant transit planning experience.
- Experience in strategic planning, team-building, and business development.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional registration such as AICP, PE, PTOE, PTP, PMP preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 10 years of transportation planning experience.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Understanding of transit planning principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills.
