Responsibilities- Provide project and task management, conduct complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
- Collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos, and public forums; lead the production of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for detention facilities, storm drains, flood control and other hydraulic structures.
- Work independently while planning, organizing, and supervising medium to large teams of professionals and technicians.
- Serve as project manager on larger projects as needed.
- Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and contract cost estimates.
- Perform other duties as required.
- MSCE
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ Water Resources experience.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the hire location (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- Proficiency in HEC‑1, HEC‑RAS, GEO‑RAS, Storm CAD, and Haestad methods.
- Experience in water resources planning, hydrology/hydraulics, drainage/flood control design.
- Familiarity with DOT drainage design criteria.
- Experience with FEMA studies is a plus.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

Compensation:
Washington, DC: $136,836 - $195,480 (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits).
Location:
United States‑Virginia‑Vienna (primary location). Other locations include Washington DC, Glen Allen, Roanoke, Virginia Beach, and Fulton, Maryland.
