Responsibilities- Protection and control design.
- Schematic and wiring designs.
- Assign project tasks and provide technical guidance to junior team members on moderate to highly complex projects.
- Perform QC reviews for work performed by junior and mid-level engineers and/or designers.
- Work with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise and attend training and seminars focused on further development and understanding of complex concepts related to the discipline.
- Assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase HDR's technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events.
- Responsible for quality control reviews of projects from other teams on an as-needed basis.
- Works independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise efforts of less-experienced EITs and/or designers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of substation design experience.
- Experience using standard industry design software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous consulting firm experience.
- Some travel may be required.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, Revit).
