Caregivers Home Health Services is seeking an experienced Intake Coordinator to join its team. This is an entry-level, full-time position in the healthcare industry based in the Washington DC-Baltimore area.

• Receive patient referrals with complete information necessary to service and bill.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain initial visit authorization from the patient's health plan.
• Serve as the primary contact for initial intake of patient referral calls and communications regarding patient admission.
• Answer phones and assist callers professionally and promptly, escalating issues as necessary.
• Enter referral information into the Kinnser system accurately.
• Verify case information with referral sources and confirm receipt of referrals.
• Perform eligibility checks and acquire Face-to-Face documentation for prospective patients.
• Ensure Start of Care documentation is received, staff is assigned, and patient is seen within the required time frames per Medicare guidelines.
• Schedule initial assessment visits with patients and inform staff of assignments.

• Preferred college degree
• Previous healthcare/home care experience
• Strong data entry and computer skills
