** Job Summary
** In a collaborative manner, the
** Paramedic
* * provides support to Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients through a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include front desk registration, vital sign collection, medical history intake, point-of-care testing, medication administration, and assisting with in-office procedures.###
** Essential Functions
*** Create and maintain a welcoming environment for patients through exceptional customer service.
* Verify insurance information and collect/process co-payments and deductibles.
* Schedule patient appointments and coordinate provider referrals.
* Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality through accurate medical recordkeeping and coding.
* Conduct patient interviews, record medical history, and confirm visit purpose.
* Prepare patients for exams by performing vital signs and reporting history summaries.
* Assist providers with evaluations and in-office procedures; notify providers of abnormal findings.
* Perform point-of-care testing for various conditions; conduct phlebotomy, wound care, and EKGs.
* Administer medications per protocols approved by the local Medical Director.
* Prepare for procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.
* Perform IV catheter insertion, fluid administration, splinting, and venipuncture.
* Perform BLS emergency care and manage environmental emergencies.
* Conduct daily equipment checks, calibrations, and submit repair tickets.
* Perform courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up.
* Other duties as assigned.### ###

*** Demonstrated competency in EKG testing and venipuncture
* Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures
* Excellent time management and multitasking skills
* Strong written and verbal communication

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and patient management software### ###
** Preferred Skills
*** Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
* Experience with Point-of-Care Testing
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Understanding of HIPAA compliance### ###

** Requirements
* ** High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
* 0–2+ years of Paramedic experience (3+ years preferred)
* Pediatric care experience (preferred)
* ** State Paramedic Certification** (required upon hire)
* ** Basic Life Support (BLS)
** certification (required at time of hire)
