Job Title:

SAP Retail Solution Architect Responsibilities of the SAP Retail Solution Architect:
McLane Advanced Technologies is seeking an experienced SAP Retail Solution Architect to lead the design and integration of SAP Retail solutions supporting the Defense Commissary Agency's (DeCA) Enterprise Business System (EBS) Transformation. The Solution Architect will ensure that the SAP Retail platform aligns with DeCA's unique mission, integrates with legacy and modern DoD systems, and supports compliance, security, and operational excellence.

The SAP Retail Solution Architect will:
* Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and configuration of SAP Retail solutions, ensuring alignment with DeCA's financial, supply chain, and omnichannel requirements.
* Integrate SAP Retail with SAP Logistics (MM/SD/EWM), SAP Financials (FI/CO), and legacy systems such as Manhattan WMSOS and Oracle Fusion.
* Oversee compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards (e.g., FEDRAMP, RMF), statutory mandates (DFARS, Privacy Act), and DeCA-specific audit requirements.
* Develop technical specifications for SAP Fiori apps, AI/ML-driven demand forecasting, and advanced reporting.
* Collaborate with Accenture, DeCA stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to validate technical feasibility, prototypes, and Agile iterations.
* Resolve conflicts between commercial SAP Retail configurations and DeCA's military benefit and regulatory requirements.
* Guide the adoption of commercial best practices, minimizing customization except where required by law or policy.
* Support the transition to S/4

HANA and cloud-based SAP Retail environments, ensuring scalability and future proofing.
* Mentor and guide project teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and high-quality solution delivery.
* Document solution designs, integration points, and compliance artifacts for government review.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
* SAP Certified Application Professional - SAP S/4

HANA Retail for Merchandise Management.
* 10+ years of SAP Retail/IS-Retail implementation experience, including at least 3 years in federal or defense sector projects.
* Deep expertise in SAP Retail, merchandise management, POS integration (e.g., NCR Emerald), and omnichannel retail processes.
* Strong knowledge of SAP Logistics, SAP FI/CO, and integration with third-party and legacy systems.
* Experience with Agile methodologies, Dev Sec Ops , and modern cloud architecture.
* Active Secret Security Clearance required, US citizenship mandatory.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. About McLane Advanced Technologies:
