Technical Writer

ITCON Services is seeking to hire a motivated, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. The Technical Writer will work in close collaboration with developers, testers, and other project roles.

• Document stakeholder requirements
• Prepare test plans and test cases
• Write technical designs
• Develop operations manuals
• Create user manuals & training material
• Publish release notes and status reports
• Craft proposal responses

The ideal candidate can work with minimal supervision, employs effective technical writing and time management skills, and can handle multiple high‑visibility priorities, projects, and products simultaneously.

This is a full‑time salaried position located at the ITCON Services headquarters in Vienna, VA. Applicants must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States and be clearable for a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor's degree (required)
• 3+ years of experience in the IT industry
• Proficient in writing technical content with strong editing skills
• Experience developing training materials
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong research and analytical abilities
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Initiative and autonomy in work
• Experience working in Agile teams

• Experience writing RFP responses
• Experience in business analysis and testing
