Ennoble First is seeking an Endace Platform Engineer to support the deployment, operation, and sustainment of enterprise-scale network traffic recording and packet capture platforms. This role focuses on operating Endace systems that provide high-fidelity network telemetry to support cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations across complex Government environments.
The Endace Platform Engineer works closely with network engineering, security operations, and platform teams to ensure reliable, high-performance packet capture and long-term traffic retention aligned with mission and Zero Trust monitoring requirements.
Primary Responsibilities- Deploy, configure, operate, and sustain Endace packet capture and traffic recording platforms
- Support high-speed packet capture, indexing, and long-term data retention strategies
- Monitor system health, capture performance, storage utilization, and data integrity
- Perform platform upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and lifecycle maintenance
- Troubleshoot packet loss, capture degradation, ingestion issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Integrate Endace platforms with SIEM, NDR, IDS/IPS, and network analysis tools
- Support SOC and cyber operations teams with packet-level analysis and forensic investigations
- Coordinate with network engineers to ensure proper TAP/SPAN configuration and traffic visibility
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Support Zero Trust monitoring initiatives through continuous traffic visibility and telemetry
- 5+ years of experience supporting network security engineering, cybersecurity operations, or network monitoring environments
- 3+ years of experience working with packet capture, network telemetry, or traffic analysis platforms
- 2+ years of experience deploying, hosting, monitoring, and securing solutions for Government customers
- Strong understanding of network protocols, packet analysis, and enterprise network architectures
- Experience administering Linux-based systems in operational environments
- Experience supporting SOC, NOC, or cyber mission operations
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility
- Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or
- Master's degree and 1+ year of experience supporting IT projects and activities
- Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND)
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider – Infrastructure Support certification (e.g., CEH, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND) within 30 days of start date.
- Hands-on experience operating Endace appliances in production environments
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community missions
- Familiarity with NDR, SIEM, and network forensic tool chains
- Experience with high-speed network environments and large-scale traffic retention
- Security certifications such as GCIA, GNFA, GCIH, or CISSP
Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000. The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered include responsibilities of the role, education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and applicable laws.
