- Assess current-state enterprise security architectures and identify gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities
- Design and articulate future-state cybersecurity architectures aligned with mission objectives and industry standards
- Lead alternatives analysis, tool selection, and capability planning across cybersecurity domains
- Develop solution roadmaps and reference architectures aligned with NIST SP 800-37, SP 800-53, SP 800-207, and the DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture
- Provide technical guidance and advisory support to senior leaders, including CISO- and CIO-level stakeholders
- Author technical documentation including architecture diagrams, reference models, whitepapers, and technical briefs
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to support secure implementation and integration of cybersecurity capabilities
- Mentor junior engineers and architects as part of enterprise cybersecurity initiatives
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT engineering or cybersecurity programs
- 3+ years of experience leading modernization or transformation efforts in one or more of the following areas:
Threat Detection, Vulnerability Management, Infrastructure Protection, Automation and Orchestration, Multi-Cloud, or Zero Trust - 2+ years of experience leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations
- Experience architecting cybersecurity solutions and roadmaps aligned with federal standards and frameworks
- Experience leading alternatives analysis and product selection efforts for cybersecurity technologies
- Ability to guide and advise senior leadership on cybersecurity strategy and maturation
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Associate s degree and 5+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or
- Bachelor s degree and 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or
- Master s degree and 1+ year of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or
- 10+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities in lieu of a degree
- Active DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III certification
- Active DoD 8570 Information Assurance Systems Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I certification
- Certifications such as CISSP or Security
X fulfill both requirements - Must obtain a DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider – Infrastructure Support certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND) prior to start date
- Experience in cybersecurity engineering or operations leadership roles
- Experience selecting, designing, and implementing cybersecurity tools for large federal or commercial organizations
- Strong familiarity with core cybersecurity technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, DLP, and identity systems
- Experience designing secure solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
- Experience supporting Agile, ITSM, ITIL, and Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000
