Citrix Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Citrix Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level infrastructure and system solutions. This role provides advanced engineering expertise and technical leadership across Citrix-based environments, supporting both on-premise and cloud-based virtual desktop and application platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of Citrix technologies, strong infrastructure design experience, and a proven ability to lead complex migrations and optimizations in hybrid and cloud environments.

• Engineering & Architecture
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Provide technical leadership for infrastructure and virtualization initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend system improvements based on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Citrix & Virtualization Expertise
  • Administer and support Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (Xen App / Xen Desktop).

  • Machine Creation Services (MCS)
  • FSLogix Profile Containers and Application Masking
  • Manage and optimize Citrix Net Scaler (Client), including policy configuration and performance tuning.
  • Support Store Front and Citrix Cloud environments.
• Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure
  • Lead or support migration of Citrix environments from on-premise or hybrid models to full cloud implementations (Microsoft Azure or equivalent).
  • Collaborate on architecture design for scalable, secure VDI solutions.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of virtual desktop platforms.
• Engineering Support & Operations
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, system enhancements, and environment optimization.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure system stability.

• 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure or engineering roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Strong background in Net Scaler / networking, including policy management.
• Proven experience supporting hybrid and cloud-based VDI environments.
• Experience leading or supporting Citrix migrations to cloud platforms.
