Job Overview

Red Vacuums is seeking a dedicated and skilled Small Appliance Repair Technician who preferably specializes in coffee/espresso, vacuum, and sewing repairs to join our team. As a technician at Red Vacuums, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small appliances, ensuring customers receive top‑notch service and high‑quality repairs while contributing to store maintenance, inventory management, and answering phone calls when the team is busy.

Key Responsibilities Repair and Maintenance

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small appliances, including espresso/coffee machines, vacuum cleaners, and sewing machines.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and part replacements on various household appliances.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct routine maintenance services to extend the life of appliances.

Quality Control

• Perform thorough testing after repairs to ensure appliances function properly.
• Document all repairs and services performed accurately in customer records.

Customer Service

• Provide exceptional customer service by clearly explaining issues, repair options, and estimated costs to customers.
• Communicate with customers about appliance status, expected repair times, and any additional recommendations, documenting all communications.
• Offer advice and guidance on appliance maintenance to customers.

Phone Support

• Answer phone calls when other team members are busy or away, providing timely assistance to customers and addressing inquiries related to services, repairs, and products.

Inventory Management

• Track parts inventory and order necessary components for repairs.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of parts and tools.

Store Maintenance

• Keep the store clean, clutter‑free, and organized, including repair areas and customer‑facing spaces.
• Ensure workstations and tools are cleaned and stored properly at the end of each day.

Workplace Safety

• Adhere to all safety standards and company protocols while performing repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Qualifications Experience

• Proven experience as a technician or repair specialist for small appliances, espresso machines, vacuums, and/or sewing machines.
• Hands‑on experience diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a variety of appliances.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical parts, and tools commonly used for appliance repair.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and performing repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and motor‑related issues.

Customer Service Skills

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to explain technical issues to customers in simple terms.
• Ability to handle phone calls professionally and efficiently in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Problem‑Solving

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify issues and find effective solutions.
