Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer (Everbridge, Inc.; Vienna, VA):
The Senior Software Engineer will develop our new applications that will integrate with our SaaS platform for critical event management and mass notification. Our platform uses Angular

JS and React

JS on the front‑end with a backend leveraging Java, Spring, Mongo

DB and Postgres. The Senior Software Engineer will need to translate user requirements into a functional implementation, taking into consideration scalability and performance. Telecommuting permitted. May require domestic and international travel to development centers approximately four times per year.

• Design, develop, and support software solutions for the company’s critical event management platform and various web and mobile applications built on top of the core platform.
• Work directly with product management, QA, technical operations, and related team leads to ensure the timely completion of projects.
• Design and implement microservices for the Contact and Asset Management applications.
• Define and implement automated tests.
• Build applications that run in AWS.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Serve as a scrum team member and software leader that ensures the timely completion of projects with good quality.

Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus one year of experience in a full‑stack software development role. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus three years of experience in a full‑stack software development role.

• One year of experience with database schema design.
• Demonstrated ability working with CI/CD principles and tools, Agile, and Scrum.
• Proven ability working with Angular
  
  JS or React
  
  JS frameworks.
• One year of experience with SQL and No
  
  SQL solutions such as Mongo
  
  DB and Postgres.
• One year of experience building microservices using Java and Spring.
• Experience writing scalable multi‑threaded Java applications.
• Working knowledge of analytics and data pipeline concepts.
• Proven ability to work independently or within a team.

Salary: $148,221 to $185,000 per year
