Job Title: Senior Developer

Work Location: Kansas City, MO, Fort Collins CO, and Remote
Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Senior Developer supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the Customer Revenue and Operations Planning (CROP) program. This project focuses on improving how USDA delivers services by using better technology, data, and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts to guide software development.
- Translate detailed design specifications into computer software.
- Develop, test, debug, and refine computer software to meet project requirements.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including program-level and user-level documentation.
- Ensure documentation is clear, concise, and aligned with project standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Enhance software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to current systems.
- Build and own full stack development for software applications.
- Develop new features using acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of work experience
Experience/
Skills:
- 6 years of experience in information system design and application programming.
- Experience in application development using React, Java, or .NET.
- Familiarity with full stack platforms and technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, NPM, APIs, Spring Boot, AWS, Azure, etc.
- Experience analyzing functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
- Expertise developing block diagrams and logic flow charts.
- Ability to translate detailed design into computer software.
- Expertise testing, debugging, and refining the computer software to produce the required product.
Experience preparing required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. - Proficiency enhancing software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
- Experience providing technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.
- Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale DBMS and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
- 5 to 10 years .Net Stack Developer experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
The likely salary range for this position is $82,854 - $105,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
