We are looking for a driven self‑starter with at least 5 years of industry experience to develop and lead a successful Dev Sec Ops and Cloud framework while addressing federal security requirements. This role involves shift‑left automation to create a unified software delivery and operations platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge and analysis of specialized applications and operational environments, high‑level system design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice.
- Apply advanced methods and principles to complex engineering problems to arrive at automated solutions.
- Assist consultants and stakeholders with analysis and evaluation, preparing recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance in areas such as architecture, networking, telecommunications, and risk management.
- Bring comparable experience in IT and related older technologies that directly relate to the required area of expertise.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Java development experience
- Proficient with Oracle JDK 1.8.x and OpenJDK 11
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented design, and multithreading
- Expertise with Java, open‑source Java libraries (e.g., Apache Commons, Spring)
- Experience with HTTP‑based web services, JavaScript, REST, JSON, and SOAP/XML
- Experience with databases and SQL
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit
- Proficiency in modern IDEs (Intelli
J/Eclipse) - Basic grasp of design patterns
- Experience with Agile methodologies and web‑application development
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Experience with Dev Ops tools (Jenkins, Groovy, Maven, Git Lab, shell scripting)
- Front‑end experience with Type Script and frameworks such as React or Angular (a plus)
Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $61,000 – $150,000, subject to experience, qualifications, location, education, and contract provisions.
