Associate Consultant - Federal Civilian

Working closely with customers, you will assess business needs, recommend strategies, and design solutions that align with their goals and requirements. You will facilitate the delivery of professional services engagements, including enterprise implementations, system migrations, and modernization initiatives. This team supports all aspects of Esri’s federal engagement delivery, with a focus federal civilian agencies. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of technical consultants, system engineers, software developers, and configuration specialists delivering capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Vienna, VA area for this position.

• Act as a liaison between Professional Services and customers by gathering requirements and translating them into actionable technical work
• Expand Esri technology into new mission areas by contributing to proposals and estimates for emerging opportunities
• Collaborate with technical consultants and subject matter experts to deliver mission-critical customer outcome
• Contribute to the management of project cost, scope, and schedule; track work to ensure timely deliverables
• Build a network of virtual team members across Esri to identify and create best practices for GIS usage

• 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
• Professional experience leveraging GIS software capabilities, including mapping, field operations, spatial analysis and data science, 3D visualization and analytics, data management, and developer APIs
• Demonstrated ability to translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical solutions
• Ability to engage clients, shape strategy, and translate science into geospatial solutions
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to both technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers
• Bring an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to learn, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
• US citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), information systems, earth science, health science, social science, or a STEM-related field

• Domain knowledge spanning environmental and climate sciences, earth observation, natural resources, health and human services, and related federal mission areas to develop, position, and deliver customer opportunities
