Assistant Supervisor

This position is responsible for supporting restaurant operations and alcoholic beverage management. The incumbent ensures an exceptional dining experience for restaurant guests, carry‑out, delivery, catering and event customers. They support training of service staff members and maintain a clean, safe and inviting environment. The role includes maintaining a high quality of food and service, overseeing costs, pricing and profitability, and assisting the District Manager with legal beverage operations compliance where alcohol is served.

• Assist restaurant(s) operations, manage staff members, and ensure guests have an excellent eating experience.
• Ensure the highest standards of quality, service and merchandising for the restaurants.
• Treat guests with utmost respect and courtesy from start to finish.
• Assist Supervisor to train staff on marketing and service of daily specials; work with them to provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist Supervisor to train staff members, assist with employee performance and development, and mentor addressing employee relations issues.
• Train and work closely with staff to ensure only the highest quality food is prepped, cooked and delivered.
• Provide continuous training on processes, expectations, service, policies and safe handling.
• Ensures continuous training and staff knowledge of safe and healthy food handling practices and required certifications.
• Fill in for staff members to ensure coverage during absences.
• Address customer complaints and concerns with tact and professionalism, and assist in training employees to handle them.
• Ensure staff have required food handling and health/safety training, covers permits and hygiene.
• Assist District Manager and Supervisor with purchasing, strict inventory control, legal beverage guidance, and routine reporting.
• Maintain strict control of Age 21 protocols for staff and guests; train and lead employees to limit liability related to excessive drinking.
• Encourage a clean environment through cross‑training employees in bussing and general cleaning.
• Assist in payment policy training and inventory management, especially legal beverages.
• Take proactive, positive and sincere interest in customers to maintain community relationships.
• Enforce company policies, SOPs, departmental checklists and other required rules.
• Lead safety and security practices; ensure all departments follow opening, closing, cleaning checklists.
• Ensure successful participation of employees in all required trainings.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED; college-level classes in Management, Accounting or Business‑Related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage management.
• Minimum 2 years of employee management and training experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Legal Beverages focusing on costs, inventory control, policies and state laws.
• Above‑average knowledge of Food & Beverage, Legal Beverages, and operations.
• Experience with stocking, inventory needs, cost versus sales, profit and security controls.
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Office, POS systems, and technology competence.
• Customer service experience with public and ability to address concerns tactfully.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, using professionalism.
• Professional demeanor and excellent oral/written communication.
• Strategic business logic and sound decision making under pressure.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion handling sensitive information.
