Position Title:

Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor

Job Summary:

As a member of Management, you will be the heartbeat of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, inspiring a high-performance team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the store’s success and contribute to our company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team. Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance.
  • Customer

    Experience:

    Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Sales & Performance:
    Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Financial Management:
    Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement:
    Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers.
  • Innovation & Problem-Solving:
    Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
  • Leadership

    Skills:

    Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Flexibility:
    Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Tech-Savvy:
    Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Minimum Requirements
  • Assistant Store Manager
    • Open availability, including hours necessary to open and close the store (mornings, days, and nights).
    • Minimum standard work week of 5 days.
    • Average standard work week of 44 hours, with increases during peak periods (e.g., Holiday, Back-to-School).
  • Supervisor
    • Availability during hours to open and close the store (mornings, days, nights).
    • Minimum of 5 days of availability.
    • Minimum standard of 30 hours per week.
  • All Management
    • Availability on weekends and holidays.
    • Punctuality and regular attendance per company policies.
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Clear English communication (reading, writing, and speaking) for customer interaction and staff supervision.
    • May require relocation within the company network based on operational needs.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged standing (approximately five to 14 hours per day).
  • During peak periods, long hours (up to 12 hours in a day).
  • Stooping, kneeling, reaching, and pulling to stock merchandise.
  • Possible climbing ladders or stairs to stock or obtain merchandise.
  • Regular lifting of items weighing 5–25 lbs (weights may be higher in some cases).
  • Good vision, including color differentiation.
  • Moderately noisy retail environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
