We are looking for a Licensing Coordinator/Treatment Coordinator to join our NYAP West Virginia team.

Full time:Typical schedule includes Monday-Friday, 9a-5p with additional evening and weekend hours required at times.

Compensation:
Starting salary is $44,000/yr.

Position summary

Under the general supervision of the Regional Manager or designee, this position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families served. This position is responsible for recruiting, licensing, and retaining quality foster homes, ensuring licensed homes meet or exceed community and organizational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Actively supports,represents,andextendsthemission,vision,andvaluesoftheorganization.
  • Completesallrequiredtraininginatimelymanner.
  • Developandimplementrecruitmentstrategiesthatgeneratethequantityandqualityofinquiriesforviablelicensedfosterhomes.
  • Support the development of potential foster parents in understanding the needs of the youth entering foster care, the expectation of mentoring primary families and the goal of reunification of youth with the primary family.
  • Workwithcurrent,former,andprospectivefosterparentstorecruitnewfosterfamilies.
  • Responsiblefortheknowledgeandimplementationofallrules,regulations,andpoliciesrelatedtofostercare.
  • Completefacetofacemeetingswitheachpotentialfamilywithinthefirsttwoweekstoanswerquestionsandassistinthelicensingprocess.
  • Assistallpotentialfosterfamiliesinprovidingallrequiredinformationandcompletingrequiredpaperworkinatimelymanner.
  • Meetwithfosterparentsexperiencingdifficultyinthelicensingprocesstoremovebarriers.
  • Developacomprehensivehomestudyforeachpotentialfamilyandsubmitforapproval.
  • Maintainandupdateallfosterhomerecordsinappropriatesystems.
  • Provideongoingtrainingandsupporttolicensedfosterhomes.
  • Completeannualevaluationsandrecertificationofalllicensedfosterhomes.
  • Supportfosterparentsincludingprovidinginformation,education,meetings,supportgroups,andoneononediscussions.
  • Travels daily, to provide community based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participatesinthe Continuous Quality Improvementactivitiesonamonthly /quarterly basis.
  • Activelyparticipatesintheweeklysupervisionprocess.
  • Capacitytoremainobjectiveandprofessionalinallareasofjobfunction.
  • Demonstratestoleranceandrespectfortheideasandactionsofothers.
  • Reportincidentstostateandsupervisoryagencieswhenappropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Degreein Social Workorcomparable Human Servicesfieldfromanaccreditedinstitution  required.
  • 2yearsofworkexperienceworkingindirectservicewithyouthandfamiliesstronglypreferred
  • Having a current and valid SAFE Home certification preferred
  • RAPT training is preferred
  • Safe HS writing experience preferred
  • Musthaveavaliddriver’slicense,reliable transportation,automotiveinsurance,andagooddrivingrecord.
  • Awillingnesstoworknontraditionalhoursintheserviceoffostercaregivers,familiesoforigin,andpersonsserved
  • Capacitytobeflexibleandresponsivetoyouthserved,fostercaregivers,system partners,andinternalcustomers
  • Capacitytoeffectivelyworkwithandberespectfulandsensitivetopersonsfromvariouscultures,socioeconomic,ethnic,religious,and racialbackgrounds
