Job Overview
GI Group are currently recruiting a Class 1 Driver for an internationally known client in multiple locations across Glasgow. The client provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express market. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.
Class 1 Shift Details- Shifts with afternoon/evening start times on an ad‑hoc basis
- Weekend work available
- Average shift length 10 hours
- Day rate (shift starts before 1800) – £17.93 per hour (PAYE inclusive of advanced holiday pay)
- Night rate (shift starts after 1800) – £19.05 per hour (PAYE inclusive of advanced holiday pay)
- Conduct vehicle checks
- Trunk deliveries to depots and hubs – run details given before the shift
- Deliver safely to customers throughout the UK
- Presentable appearance, eye for detail and a positive attitude
- No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
- Valid, in‑date tachograph and CPC
- Good customer service skills
- At least 6 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
