Academic Coordinator – IGCSE/CBSE

Role Overview

The Academic Coordinator is responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the Cambridge IGCSE/CBSE curriculum, maintaining high teaching standards, and supporting academic excellence across the school. The role focuses on curriculum delivery, teacher mentoring, assessment quality, and Cambridge compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor IGCSE/CBSE curriculum as per Cambridge International standards
- Support teachers with lesson planning, schemes of work, assessment, and differentiation
- Conduct classroom observations, provide feedback, and mentor teachers
- Coordinate internal assessments and IGCSE/CBSE examinations with accuracy and confidentiality
- Track student progress and support academic interventions
- Ensure Cambridge compliance, documentation, and inspection readiness
- Support academic communication with parents and stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

- Master’s Degree in Education / Subject specialization (B.Ed / M.Ed preferred)
- 5–8 years of teaching experience, with 2–3 years in an academic leadership role
- Prior experience in an IGCSE / Cambridge International School is mandatory
