Role Description The Principal of NVP Law College is a full-time, on-site academic and administrative leader based in Vishakhapatnam. In this role, the Principal oversees academic programs, ensures adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, and promotes high-quality teaching and learning across all departments. Daily responsibilities include supervising faculty performance, guiding curriculum development, monitoring student outcomes, and fostering a culture of research, legal scholarship, and ethical practice.
The Principal manages operational activities such as budget planning, resource allocation, and infrastructure development, while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies, legal professionals, alumni, and the local community. The role also involves mentoring faculty, supporting student welfare initiatives, and leading strategic planning to enhance the college’s reputation and reach.
Qualifications
Advanced academic qualifications in Law (Ph.D.) and a strong record of teaching and research in legal education.
Proven experience in academic leadership or administration, such as Head of Department, Dean, or Principal in a college or university setting.
Comprehensive knowledge of legal education standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation processes relevant to Indian law colleges.
Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and institutional operations effectively.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities, with a commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory practices.
Demonstrated ability to mentor faculty, support student development, and promote a positive academic culture focused on ethics and professionalism.
Experience building partnerships with legal institutions, bar associations, judiciary, and industry to expand student opportunities and institutional outreach.
Commitment to continuous improvement, adoption of innovative teaching methods, and integration of technology in academic and administrative processes.
