Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled  Western Dance Teacher  to join our faculty and train students in various dance forms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple Western dance styles, choreograph performances, and create an engaging learning environment that encourages creativity, rhythm, and self-expression.
Responsibilities:
Dance Instruction:  Teach various Western dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Salsa, and Freestyle to students of different age groups.
Choreography:  Plan and choreograph dance routines for school events, competitions, and annual performances.
Student Development:  Assess students' progress and provide personalized guidance to enhance their skills.
Lesson Planning:  Design structured lesson plans to introduce students to different dance techniques and movements.
Extracurricular

Activities:

Organize and lead dance clubs, workshops, and after-school programs.
Event Coordination:  Assist in planning and executing cultural programs, inter-school competitions, and annual day performances.
Fitness & Discipline:  Encourage fitness, flexibility, and discipline through dance training.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other performing arts faculty and school management to integrate dance with the overall curriculum.
Classroom Management:  Maintain a safe, energetic, and inclusive environment for students.

Qualifications:

Education:

Diploma/Degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field.

Experience:

2+ years of experience teaching Western dance to children and teenagers.
Experience in choreography and stage performances.

Skills:

Proficiency in multiple Western dance styles.
Strong ability to teach and motivate students.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Screening Process:
Dance Audition:  A practical demonstration of dance expertise.
Teaching Demonstration:  Conduct a sample dance session.
Interview:  Assessment of teaching approach and experience.
