Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging  MYP Physical & Health Education  lessons aligned with IB MYP principles and subject objectives.
Design inquiry-based learning experiences that develop physical skills, health awareness, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
Teach a range of physical activities, sports, fitness, movement, and health-related concepts.
Differentiate instruction to meet students’ diverse learning needs, abilities, and fitness levels.
Integrate  Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills  into PHE lessons.
Encourage students to develop collaboration, communication, self-management, and reflective skills.
Create a safe, inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment.
Encourage students to develop lifelong interest in physical activity and healthy living.

Assessment & Student Progress
Assess student learning using appropriate  MYP assessment criteria .
Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
Maintain accurate records of student participation, achievement, and progress.
Prepare student reports and academic documentation as required.
Participate in student-led conferences, parent meetings, and other academic discussions.

Student Wellbeing & Safety
Promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing through appropriate health and physical education practices.
Educate students about healthy lifestyle choices, fitness, nutrition, personal responsibility, and wellbeing.
Ensure student safety during sports, physical activities, practical sessions, and outdoor activities.
Follow school safeguarding, first-aid, risk-management, and safety procedures.
Encourage positive relationships, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respectful behavior.

Collaboration & School Life
Collaborate with teachers and coordinators on interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.
Participate in MYP meetings, professional learning communities, and curriculum planning.
Contribute to sports programmes, clubs, competitions, extracurricular activities, and school events.
Support and model the  IB Learner Profile attributes .
Participate in relevant IB and professional development programmes.
Contribute positively to the wider school community.

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in  Physical Education, Health Education, Sports Science, Physical Activity, or a related field .
Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Valid teaching certification/licensure where applicable.
Experience teaching  middle school students aged 11–16 years  preferred.

Experience with  IB MYP, international curricula, or inquiry-based education  is preferred.
Strong knowledge of physical education, sports, fitness, health, and student wellbeing.
Strong classroom and activity management skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Passion for physical activity, health, sports, and holistic student development.
First Aid/CPR certification  is an advantage; candidates should be willing to obtain certification if required.

IB Experience & Curriculum

Experience with  IB MYP Physical & Health Education  is preferred.
Candidates with relevant Physical Education/Sports teaching experience from  CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge, IGCSE, or other recognized curricula  may also be considered, particularly those with strong subject knowledge and an interest in transitioning to the IB framework.
