About the Role
The Music Facilitator will support the development of the school's music and performing arts programme by delivering engaging, age-appropriate, and student-centered music learning experiences.
The role involves teaching  vocal music, choir, and instrumental music , preparing students for performances and competitions, and contributing to the school's wider cultural and co-curricular activities.

What You'll Do
Music Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for students across different age groups.
Teach  vocal music, choir, and instrumental music  based on your area of expertise.
Develop students' musical skills, confidence, creativity, listening, rhythm, and performance abilities.
Use age-appropriate and differentiated approaches to support students with different levels of musical experience.
Introduce students to Indian and Western musical traditions where appropriate.
Encourage students to explore, create, perform, and appreciate music.
Integrate technology and digital tools where appropriate to enhance music learning.

Choir & Instrumental Programme
Organize and lead school choir practices and instrumental ensembles.
Prepare students for school concerts, assemblies, annual day programmes, competitions, and special events.
Support students preparing for recognized music examinations such as  Trinity, ABRSM , or other relevant programmes.
Develop opportunities for students to perform individually and as groups.

Programme Development
Contribute to the development of the school's music curriculum across different grade levels.
Support the planning of annual music activities, performances, workshops, and cultural programmes.
Collaborate with teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary and school-wide learning experiences.
Identify and encourage students with particular musical interests and abilities.

Classroom & Student Support
Create a positive, safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Maintain appropriate classroom and rehearsal routines.
Encourage student participation, creativity, confidence, and teamwork.
Support students in developing performance confidence and stage presence.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Assessment & Documentation
Assess and document student progress using appropriate formative and performance-based assessment methods.
Maintain relevant student records, portfolios, and learning documentation.
Communicate student progress and areas for development when required.

Collaboration & Events
Work collaboratively with teachers, coordinators, department heads, and school leadership.
Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning, professional development, and school activities.
Support school events such as  Annual Day, assemblies, talent shows, cultural programmes, celebrations, exhibitions, and competitions .
Coordinate music rehearsals and performances as required.
Conduct or support after-school music clubs, workshops, and enrichment activities.

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree in  Music, Performing Arts, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, or a related field .
Formal teaching qualification such as  

B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent  will be an advantage.
Strong proficiency in  Vocal Music, Choir, or at least one musical instrument .
Ability to work effectively with children and young learners.
