Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee project scheduling, cost management, and contract issuance. The ideal candidate will handle cost projections, forecasting, and estimating, while managing project engineers responsible for submittals, procurement, RFIs, and document control. Safety and quality oversight are critical, requiring collaboration with onsite Safety and Quality managers. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for assembling meeting agendas, conducting meetings, and maintaining effective communication with the team, clients, architects, and engineers.

Responsibilities

+ Create and maintain project schedules.

+ Manage cost control, including issuing contracts and change orders.

+ Perform cost projections and forecasting.

+ Estimate costs by reviewing drawing changes and assembling sub costs into owner change order requests.

+ Oversee project engineers managing submittals, procurement, RFIs, and document control.

+ Ensure safety and quality compliance by working closely with onsite Safety and Quality managers.

+ Organize and lead weekly owner meetings and other internal meetings.

+ Conduct effective meetings.

+ Facilitate communication among team members, clients, and architects/engineers.

Essential Skills

+ 5-10 years of experience in heavy industrial construction (2-5 years is acceptable, but 5-10 is preferred).

+ Proficiency in Procore software.

+ General contractor experience.

+ Knowledge of Bluebeam, P6, and construction management.

+

Experience with peaker plants and industrial construction.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in P6 / Primavera.

+ Familiarity with Outlook.

+

Experience with Bluebeam.

+ Proficiency in Office products, including Word and Excel.

Work Environment

The project is a large-scale industrial peaker plant located in Wheatfield, IN, and will last for 2 years. The Project Manager will be onsite daily, working Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm. The job requires working six 10-hour days. If the candidate is not local, per diem will be provided. The project is scheduled to end in 2028, with opportunities to transition to new projects thereafter.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $62.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
