You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

About the roleAs a Medical Support Specialist, you will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician for medical issues.
The role requires familiarity with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment and providing center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility through proper informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation requirements by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Successfully complete the FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
U.S. hourly wage range: $35.28 – $48.51. Actual hourly wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.

Eligible for up to 80 hours of sick time and up to 120 hours of paid vacation per calendar year.
