Summary
The Plant Clerk is responsible for providing office support to the West GA CSC.
- Manage email and phone communication daily to respond to customer needs and notify management of issues.
- Maintain database by updating customer and account information.
- Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
- Review customer and account source documents for deficiencies.
- Resolve deficiencies using standard procedures or return incomplete documents for resolution.
- Input and verify customer and account data accurately.
- Follow policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Keep information confidential to protect customer confidence and operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required;
Associates’ degree or higher preferred. - At least 2 years of experience in customer service or administrative roles.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to work independently with good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service commitment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; willingness to learn Microsoft Publisher, Lawson, SAP, and Datamatics.
Responsibilities include knowledge of ADP timekeeping, communication with team members, using Outlook, organizing daily tasks, working with managers and buyers, monitoring shipping requirements, inventory management, and other duties as assigned. Familiarity with SAP, distribution systems, and warehouse operations is preferred. Excellent PC skills and prior customer service experience are a plus. Must communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Satisfactory performance expected within three months.
