OverviewThe electroencephalographic (EEG) technician uses diagnostic testing procedures with an electroencephalograph machine to measure the electrical activity of the brain, spinal cord, the peripheral nerves, or the somatosensory systems.
Responsibilities- Conduct EEG testing using an electroencephalograph machine to measure electrical activity of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, or somatosensory systems.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED - Experience:
One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures. - Licenses and
Certifications:
HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR) - Qualifications:
1 year certificate from a program accredited by the American Society of Electro-neurodiagnostic technologists is preferred but not required.
