Job Description
The production technician contributes to all phases of the team‑oriented production process, operating automated equipment, diagnosing machinery failures, aiding in preventative maintenance, and sanitizing equipment. Technicians must become fully versed in the entire production process, rotate job assignments, monitor equipment and product quality, and make real‑time decisions that affect order fulfillment. The role requires mastery of enterprise software, compliance with company policies, and participation in safety and quality programs.
Responsibilities- Check and adhere to production work schedule and reporting times.
- Operate facility metal detector(s) when assigned and remain fully trained/certified.
- Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and limited preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety rules.
- Maintain production schedules, running order, and formulas.
- Scale and stage ingredients according to standards.
- Load product into proper containers.
- Perform quality control inspections and monitor governmental and company standards.
- Provide scheduled breaks for Production Technicians as needed.
- Act as a member of a highly functioning team.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
- Two (2) or more years of related experience.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency plus successful completion of a technical certification course (e.g., HVAC, auto maintenance/repair) or equivalent military or technical training. At least 45 college credit hours may substitute for technical training. Completion of the AIB “Science of Baking” course is also acceptable.
Salary – starting at $20.46 per hour.
