Job Title:
Machine Operator
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating packaging equipment during daily shift production. You will have the opportunity to learn and operate all machines if necessary, and may be required to run or supervise more than one machine at any given time.
Responsibilities- Ensure raw materials and packaging materials used are correct according to product specifications.
- Set up and operate machines efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to machines.
- Upload packaging materials onto machines.
- Communicate with mechanics regarding mechanical issues and necessary repairs.
- Operate equipment to minimize raw and packaging material scrap.
- Run equipment to meet standard production quantities and rates.
- Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions.
- Make minor adjustments and repairs to machines as needed.
- Clear away damaged product containers.
- Inspect filled containers to ensure products meet specifications.
- Experience in machine operating and production.
- Proficiency in machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to set up machines and perform changeovers.
- Knowledge of using hand tools and interpreting mechanical schematics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Interest in learning different machines and receiving training.
- Potential to advance into maintenance roles.
- General labor and packaging experience.
- Ability to work during 12‑hour shifts.
- Day shift: 3am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- Night shift: 3pm - 3:30am, Monday to Friday.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is non‑temp controlled, with temperatures ranging from very hot (up to 125 degrees in the bread room) to cold, depending on the product being run. Employees are required to adhere to strict safety standards, including no jewelry or acrylic nails. The facility produces a variety of nuts and food products with red dye.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Villa Rica, Georgia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
