MSS Multicraft Technician

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, has an immediate opening for a Multi-craft Technician for their Machine Shop located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position will report to the Machine Support Services Supervisor.

Schedule:

M-F 6:00 am - 2:30 pm  Flexible hours when traveling may include nights, weekends, and overtime

* MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

*** Proficiency in using manual and power tools
* Ability to trouble-shoot/repair mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic problems
* Basic fabrication and machining skills
* Use of precision measuring devices including micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, pie tape, etc.
* Self-motivated and self-directed
* Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
* Ability to operate a forklift
* Ability to operate a high-lift
* Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
* Ability to check fuses; wire motors; repair lighting issues
* Ability to repair plumbing issues; add additional piping as required
* Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
* Must be willing to travel up to 25% and have the ability to obtain a passport
* Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
* Must be willing to respond outside of normal business hours to emergency calls as needed
* Must have effective communication skills, verbal and written
* Must have ability to interact on job site in a courteous and professional manner
* Must always work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines
** PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:
* Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding
* Machinery Installation & Demolition
* Machine Alignment
* Willing to learn CNC operation
** INTERNAL APPLICANTS:
*** Must be in current position at least 120 days and be in good standing
* Must not have disciplinary above Verbal in last 120 days
* Must not be on probation or be on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
* Must have received 'Performer' rating or better on latest performance review
