Flowers Home Care Agency is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and clinically experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a medically complex pediatric client through the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP).
This position is specifically for an RN experienced and confident in caring for nonverbal pediatric patients, G-tube care, and seizure management
.
Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Occasional Weekend Coverage: Saturday or Sunday as scheduled
This is an awake overnight nursing assignment
. The RN must remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to monitor the client's condition and respond appropriately to clinical needs.
The RN should be experienced and competent in:
- Nonverbal pediatric care — recognizing subtle behavioral and physical indicators of pain, discomfort, seizure activity, respiratory distress, and changes from the child's normal baseline.
- Seizure management — maintaining seizure precautions, recognizing seizure activity, timing and documenting episodes, monitoring during the postictal period, following the individualized seizure action plan, and administering ordered medications when indicated.
- G-tube care — assessment of the G-tube and site, enteral feedings, flushing, medication administration, site care, and identification of potential complications according to physician orders and the Plan of Care.
- Medication administration and accurate MAR documentation.
- Monitoring vital signs and changes in condition.
- Respiratory/asthma monitoring and ordered treatments.
- Safe positioning, transfers, mobility assistance, skin integrity monitoring, and incontinence care as ordered.
- Accurate and timely skilled nursing documentation.
- Communication with the parent/guardian and Flowers Home Care clinical team regarding significant changes or concerns.
- Following physician orders, the Plan of Treatment, seizure action plan, agency policies, and applicable GAPP requirements.
Required:
Active and unrestricted Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license
, current BLS/CPR certification
, reliable transportation, successful completion of required background screening and agency onboarding, and demonstrated ability to safely perform the skilled nursing duties required for the assignment.

We are looking for an RN who is dependable, observant, patient, clinically confident, and comfortable working independently in the home setting
.
Because the client is nonverbal and has a history of seizure activity, the RN must be able to recognize subtle changes in behavior or condition and respond appropriately.
Consistency and reliability are especially important for this assignment.
