The Mechanic II is responsible for maintenance tasks that may be preventive or corrective in nature. Employee must demonstrate a high level of mechanical ability in a variety of tasks requiring knowledge in electrical, HVAC, steam, medical gases, pneumatic, plumbing and alarm systems. Other responsibilities include assisting with routine tests: fire alarm, sprinkler drop tests, emergency generator load test, emergency battery lighting test, line isolation test and new equipment inspections.

High School Diploma or GED

Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

• Driver's License

• 3 years of mechanical and building maintenance
• Ability to read, understand, and implement safety rules and instructions in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Ability to speak clearly and distinctly, primarily to convey problems and work status to others.
• Ability to summarize work progress in work order form or electronically.
• General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, steam, medical gas, pneumatic, plumbing and alarm systems
• Must be legally able to drive in the State of Georgia. Clean motor vehicle record.
