RN - Pt. Advocate / Quality Asst. –  | Mercy Regional Medical Center

Respresents the role of patient, employee, and/or physician advocate. Receives verbal and written concerns or complaints. Coordinates with Administration, Directors, and appropriate staff to thoroughly investigate concerns and take actions for resolution. Aims to increase patient satisfaction or resolve conflict by early intervention. Communicates the outcome of findings to the individual expressing the concern.

• Assumes major roles as patient, employee, and/or physician advocate.
• Receives verbal and written concerns, complaints.
• Coordinates with Administration, Directors, and appropriate staff to thoroughly investigate and take actions for resolution of concern.
• Seeks to increase patient satisfaction or resolve conflict by early intervention.
• Communicates the outcome of findings to the individual expressing the concern.

• Education:
  
  Health care professional with appropriate degree
• L icensure:
  Current RN licensure in the State of Louisiana
• Certification: BLS
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 3 years as an RN
• Skills:
  
  Demonstrates high level of knowledge of basic communication skills in speaking and listening; understands holistic care; able to establish rapport with patients and hospital personnel
