Job Description: Requires a 30-minute callback. Performs patient assessments in a systematic and organized manner to provide high quality care and safe outcomes. The nurse will exercise autonomy when needed to make decisions in the best interest of the patient.

• Education and implementation of the patient’s plan of care will be shared with the patient and the family.
• Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary departments to coordinate the appropriate care for the endoscopy patients in the most efficient and highest quality manner.
• Follow all relevant specialties (AORN, Gastroenterology, etc.), federal recommendations and hospital policies and procedures, when caring for the patient and performing other tasks.
• Participate in perioperative services nursing and hospital wide Performance Improvement activities and unit-based council.
• Provide direction and collaborate with team members to support a healthy work environment.
• Pursue lifelong education, by staying current on professional changes and best practices within the health care system.
• Be responsible for your FTE hours, clock into floated departments correctly, enter standby and call back time appropriately.
• Maintain financial responsibility in helping to stay within the unit’s budget.
• Provide education and be a resource for other staff members, students, and new orientees.

Other duties as assigned.

Education — Graduate from an accredited school of nursing;
Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred. Registered Nurse license from the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Experience — Graduate of RN Program.
